![]() ![]() Modern Jazz aficionados can catch the critic’s choices Brian Charette, Jim Alfredson, and Wil Blades and see them play “up close”. ![]() Prog fans will delight in meeting Ryo Okumoto of Spock’s Beard and the rockers won’t be left out with Dizzy Reed of Guns N’ Roses representing. From The Sons Of Champlin and Chicago comes Bill Champlin and Larry Goldings keyboards for James Taylor. Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Peter Keys always loves to meet his fans, as does Alan Hewitt of the Moody Blues. From the Conan show band, Scott Healy will appear, and from the bands Yes and Asia, Geoff Downes. Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame members Felix Cavaliere (Rascals) and Gregg Rolie (Santana) will be appearing as will U2/Pink Keyboardist and Programmer Terry Lawless. Lonnie Smith will once again be in residence, along with Jazz titan Ike Stubblefield. This year at Booth 5100b will certainly deliver those goods. The Guitar players get a lot of the press, but the perhaps greatest concentration of essential talent is at the HAMMOND USA booth. The Winter NAMM Expo, which invades Anaheim California every January, is a great place to meet and greet the personalities from every genre of music.
